Duwal, Rana retire

KATHMANDU: Nepal’s skipper Kirtan Shrestha Duwal and Vice-captain Bikram Bahadur Rana announced their retirement after the team’s victory over Australia in the ODI Blind Cricket World Cup in Ajman, the UAE on Monday.

The duo ended their careers in the presence of CAB Nepal President Pawan Ghimire and Coach Rijan Praju. Both the players said they wanted to give chance to other players and that they will keep contributing to the sport by producing players. Duwal has played one each T20 and ODI WC, while Rana featured in two T20 and one ODI World Cups. CAB Nepal President Ghimire said the team will miss the services of Duwal and Rana.

“Both of them were key members of the team and we will definitely miss their services,” Ghimire said.
