ESports C’ship

KATHMANDU: The British College has started the first Inter-college ESports Championship 2016 from Monday. The event is a five-day extravaganza and the first time, in the history of the Nepalese ESports industry, that any Inter-college tournament has been held. The event was inaugurated by Arun Lal Joshi (Associate Dean, IT and Computer Science of The British College). Three games are featured in event: FIFA16, Counter Strike-Global Offensive (CS-GO) and DOTA 2. The top three finishers will receive Rs 20,000, Rs 10,000 and Rs 5,000 respectively in FIFA 16 and CS-GO games, while winner of the DOTA 2 will bag Rs 30,000 and runner-up will get Rs 20,000 along with medals and certificates. The event is organised by The British College IT Club; planned and run by students under the leadership of Pratik Gautam.
