International Kabaddi Championship from Thursday

Kathmandu, September 19

All Nepal Kabaddi Association is organising the International Invitational Men’s Kabaddi Championship here at the National Sports Council covered hall from September 21-23.

A total of four teams — hosts Nepal, India, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka — will compete in the championship to be played under super league format, informed ANKA General Secretary Binod Prajapati at a press meet today.

As per the tournament regulations, the team finishing on top of the table with maximum points will win the title. Prajapati said that India would send their ‘B’ team as most of their players were engaged in the Pro-kabaddi.

Nepal have picked up a 14-member squad for the competition. Nepali team’s assistant coach

Bishnu Dutta Bhatta said the hosts were prepared well for the three-day championship.
