KATHMANDU: A four-member karate team is on Friday left for Malaysia to take part in the 18th Milo International Open Karate Championship slated for May 12-14 in Kuala Lumpur.

Bhupendra Pun Magar (60kg), Gyanu Pun Magar (75kg) and Sumit Gharti Magar (84kg) from Lainchaur Dojo of Nepal Shito-ryu Karate Do Association will compete in the men’s events.

Coach Amit Neupane accompanied the karatekas to Kuala Lumpur.

Chief coach of Lainchaur Dojo Ram Kumar Tharu bade farewell to the team.
