KATHMANDU: Kirtipur Basketball Team defeated Xavier International College 85-83 in over time in the Kwik’s Basketball League on Friday.

Xavier won the first three quarters 22-12, 18-17 and 18-17 respectively to open up with a 12-point lead. However, Kirtipur bounced back strongly to claim fourth quarter 28-16 and levelled the scores at 74-all.

In five-minute added time, Kirtipur scored 11, while Xavier managed nine. Kirtipur’s Suraj Khadgi scored 16 points with four 3-pointers, while Abhishek Singh netted 17 points.
