KATHMANDU: Kirtipur Basketball Team defeated Xavier International College 64-57 in the Kwik’s Basketball League on Friday.

Kirtipur took first quarter 17-11 but Xavier bounced back to win second quarter 20-16. Kirtipur claimed the third period 18-8 to open up a 12-point lead.

Xavier took fourth quarter 18-13 but could not avert the defeat. Kirtipur’s Sumanga Bogati scored 18 points, while Anil Khagdi Shahi netted 11 points and Samir Niraula contributed 10 points with three assists. Xavier’s Binesh Neupane netted 15 poins and Nikesh Magar added 13 points. — HNS
