Laxmi Hyundai Manang Marshyangdi Club defeated 10-man Tribhuvan Army Club 1-0 to win the title of the Rajarshri Janak Cup Football Tournament here in Karmaiya today.

Bimal Rana’s solitary goal in the second half was enough for MMC to beat TAC in the day’s final match. After a goalless first half, Rana found the back of the nets in the 49thminute to put MMC ahead.

TAC were reduced to 10 men in the 76th minute when Bibek Basnet got the second yellow card for a bookable offense. However, MMC failed to capitalize on the numerical advantage.

Champions MMC got Rs 400,000, while runners-up TAC received Rs 200,000. A total of eight teams took part in the tournament.
