KATHMANDU: Multipurpose Martial Arts Centre (MMAC) bade farewell to judoka Phupu Lhamu Khatri here on Sunday. Product of the MMAC, Khatri will take part in women’s 67kg event in the Rio Olympic Games slated for August 5-21 in Brazil. The 21-year-old Khatri had started playing judo from the MMAC at the age of 13. MMAC owners Laxmi Ratna Tuladhar and Dharma Maharjan among others bade farewell to Khatri, who will carry Nepal’s flag during the opening ceremony of the 31st Olympic Games at the Maracana Stadium.
