LALITPUR: Moran Memorial School, St Xavier’s and Eden Garden won their matches of the 23rd Fr Moran Memorial Invitational Football Tournament here at the St Xavier’s Godavari School grounds on Sunday.

Jhapa-based Moran defeated Bright Future 7-0. Yubaraj Rajbanshi scored a hat-trick, while Beshraj Rajbanshi netted two and Jyotish Rajbanshi and Niraj Urau scored one each for the winners. In another match, St Xavier’s — another school from Jhapa — beat Nepal Don Bosco 3-0 riding on one goal each from Adil Rai, Agrim Kharel and Aaviskar Sapkota.

Likewise, Eden Garden beat DAV Sushil Kedia Vishwa Bharati HS School 2-0. Onishan Shrestha netted both goals for Eden Garden.

Yubaraj Rajbanshi of Moran, Adil Rai of St Xavier’s, and Onishan Shrestha of Eden Garden were named the player-of-the-match in their respective games.
