Kathmandu, February 28

Nayabazar Club, Manimukunda Volleyball Club and Jawalakhel Volleyball Training Centre advanced to the men’s section quarter-finals of the fourth NST-NVA Club Volleyball Championship here at the National Sports Council covered hall today.

In Group B match, Nayabazar defeated Kavre District Volleyball Association in straight set and finished as group runners-up.

Nayabazar saw off Kavre 25-17, 27-25, 26-24. Nayabazar will take on Group D winners Tribhuvan Army Club in quarter-final match.

Likewise, Manimukunda outplayed Western Regional Volleyball Association 3-1 and became Group A runners-up. Manimukunda won the match 25-18, 21-25, 25-18, 25-15. They will now face Group C winners Nepal APF Club.

In Group C, Jawalakhel registered a 25-20, 25-17, 19-25, 25-23 victory over Budhanilkantha to finish as runners-up.  Jawalakhel will take on Group A winners Help Nepal Sports Club in the quarter-final match.

Another quarter-final match will be played between Group B winners Nepal Police Club and Group D runners-up Dhorpatan Sports Club.

In women’s section, Shivam New Diamond Academy defeated Tribhuvan Army Club 25-15, 25-11, 25-20 and topped Group A, while Padmodaya Youth Club recorded a 19-25, 25-16, 25-9, 25-20 victory over Dhorpatan.
