ILAM: Nepal APF Club defeated Kamaruzan Pragati Sangha of Bangladesh 3-1 and advanced to the quarter-finals of the fourth International Invitational Mai Valley Gold Cup here on Friday.

Yubraj Khadka, Rup Bahadur Lama and Nabin Lama scored a goal each for APF, while Alam pulled one back for Kamaruzan. Khadka opened the scoring for APF in the 10th minute and Rup Bahadur Lama doubled the tally in the 35th minute.

Nabin Lama made it 3-0 in the 48th minute before Alam scored the consolation goal for Kamaruzan in the 78th minute. APF’s Luk Bahadur Lama was named the man of the match.  —HNS
