LALITPUR: Nepal Don Bosco School of Lubhu and St Xavier’s Jawalakhel School advanced to the semi-finals of the 21st Fr Moran Memorial Invitational Football Tournament here on Thursday.

In the first quarter-final match played at the St Xavier’s Godavari School grounds, Don Bosco defeated Dolphin English Secondary School of Bishankhu 1-0 riding on solitary goal from player-of-the-match Michael Tamang.

In another match, St Xavier’s Jawalakhel beat Vidhya Sanskar HS School of New Baneshwor 2-0. Nishant Thapa Magar and Sparsha Jung Pandey scored a goal each for the winning team, while Prayatna Thapa of Vidhya Sanskar was named the player-of-the-match. On Friday, St Xavier’s Godavari (Red) will face Nepal APF School, while Crescent Academy will play against NK Singh Memorial.
