Nepal Ice, Farwest ink deal

Kathmandu, December 22

Farwest Sports Club and Chaudhary Group’s Nepal Ice signed the sponsorship deal for the International Invitational Khaptad Gold Cup Football Tournament to be held in Dhangadhi from January 5-15.

Club President Suresh Hamal and Chaudhary Group’s Senior Marketing Manager Pradeep Pudasaini signed the MoU amidst a programme. After the agreement, the tournament will be named as International Invitational Nepal Ice Farwest Khaptad Gold Cup.

Meanwhile, Hamal informed that a total of 12 teams — hosts Farwest-XI, defending champions Laxmi Hyundai Manang Marshyangdi Club, Ruslan Three Star Club, Tribhuvan Army Club, Nepal APF Club, CMG Club Sankata, Chyasal Youth Club, Rumpum Jhapa-XI, Sahara Club and Lumbini Jagdamba along with India’s Delhi United and Bhutan’s Druk Star FC — will compete in the tournament.

The winners will take home Rs 1.11 million, while runners-up will get Rs 555,555. Similarly, tournament’s best player will get a motorbike, whereas the best individuals will be awarded with Rs 25,000 each. The man-of-the-match will earn Rs 10,000.
