KATHMANDU: Nepal youth football team has been drawn in Group B for the AFC U-23 Asian Cup Uzbekistan 2022 Qualifiers. Nepal have been drawn along with Iran, Lebanon and Tajikistan, who will host the Group B matches from October 23-31.

"The 42 teams were drawn into 11 groups with 15 spots available at the AFC U23 Asian Cup 2022 with Uzbekistan having already confirmed their place as hosts, the first time the tournament will be staged in the Central Zone," said the Asian Football Confederation on its website.

The draw, which was held virtually in Tashkent, divided the teams into two Regions - West Region comprising 23 West, South and Central nations and East Region consisting of 19 East and ASEAN teams.

The Qualifiers will send 11 group winners and four best runners-up to the finals.
