ILAM: Nepal Police Club defeated Durgapur Steel Club of India 3-1 and advanced to the quarter-finals of fourth International Invitational Mai Valley Gold Cup here on Sunday.

Rejin Subba, Suman Lama and Ravi Paswan  netted a goal each for NPC, while Segun pulled one back for Durgapur.

Subba opened the scoring in the 36th minute but Segun levelled the tally  in the injury time of first half.

However, Lama restored the lead for  NPC in the injury time from the spot, while Paswan added third goal in  the last moment.

NPC’s Rejin Subba was named the man-of-the-match and  got Rs 10,000.
