Nepal slip one-position down, Germany retain top spot in FIFA Ranking

KATHMANDU: Nepal slipped one-position down in this month's FIFA Ranking, which are based on results over a four-year period, published on Monday.

According to world football governing body FIFA, Nepal slipped to 176th postion in this month ranking with 94 points.

India, top ranked teams among the South Asian countries, moved two positions up to 105th rank with 328 points in today's ranking. The Maldives, have slipped two positions down to 156th positions.

Bhutan have slid down to 190th positions from 174th positions in earlier month's ranking. Likewise, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka have remained static in their rank of 196th and 198th respectively.

However, Pakistan, other SAARC nation have slipped one position down to 201th rank.

World Champions Germany have retained their position at the pinnacle of world football followed by Brazil, Portugal, Argentina and Belgium.

Meanwhile, Iran tops the list from Asian region on 34th position followed by Australia and Japan on 43rd and 44th positions respectively.
