Nepal U-15 football squad announced for Sri Lanka tour

KATHMANDU: The All Nepal Football Association on Sunday announced the Nepal U-15 national football team for the SFT South Asia-Japan U-16 Football Exchange Programme to be held in Sri Lanka slated for March 10-14.

The 18 members would leave for the island nation on March 9.

The programme is being organised by the Japan Football Federation for the development of youth soccer in the region, according to the national football governing body.

Besides the Nepal U-15 National Team, Bhutan U-16 national team, Japan U-15 national team and the hosts' U-16 national team would participate in the programme, ANFA informed.

Sunil Shrestha would be the head coach of the team while Sanoj Shrestha and Nabin Maharjan would be the development coaches for Nepal in the programme.

Madhusudan Upadhyay is handed with the team manager's responsibility.

Nepal U-15 squad

Goalkeepers: Siddhanta Rana Magar and Roshan Thapa

Defenders: Deepak Bhandara, Randip Paudel, Sanjib Aryal, Roshan Dong and Padam Bhattarai.

Midfielders: Karlosh Bakhariya, Prithivi Chaudhary, Pukar Khadka, Roshan Rana Magar, Sanju Shrestha, Saugat Khawas and Shishir Lekhi.

Forwards: Shyrab Lo Tamang, Ranjan Pun, Birjesh Chaudhary and Abhishek Shrestha.
