KATHMANDU: Nepal won gold medal in the men’s U-21 team event of the RS and CC Diamond Jubilee International Invitational Table Tennis Tournament in Shillong, India.

The men’s team of Shyantu Shrestha, Mani Lama, Ritij Joshi, Narayan Ghimire and Bipul Maharjan beat Bhutan and India by identical scores of 3-0 to win the gold.

Similarly, women’s team defeated Bhutan 3-0 and faced a 3-2 defeat at the hands of India to win silver medal in the three-nation event.
