NIC Asia Bank signs deal with cricketers

KATHMANDU: NIC-Asia Bank Ltd on Thursday signed two cricketers as its brand ambassadors for two years. NIC Asia Bank CEO Laxman Risal exchanged the Memorandum of Understanding with cricketers Raju Rijal and Prem Tamang amidst a programme. As per the agreement, the bank will provide the two cricketers with Rs 20,000 each per month for the next two years. Apart from the monthly stipend, the bank will also provide additional support for the players’ sports kits, said the bank in a release. “As a responsible corporate house of the country, the bank has been contributing in social sector through its subsidiary, NIC Asia Foundation,” it added. In return, the bank will use the players in endorsements and promotional activities. Cricket Players’ Association Nepal (CPAN) facilitated the deal for the players.
