Sipradi Trading nets cricketer Lamichhane

Kathmandu, May 23

Sipradi Trading Pvt Ltd has signed a three-year contract with national cricket team bowler Sandeep Lamichhane here today.

Rajan Babu Shrestha, Chief Executive Officer at Sipradi Trading, the sole distributor of Tata Motors Limited in Nepal, and leg-spinner Lamichhane signed the memorandum of understanding.

After signing the contract, Sipradi Trading CEO Shrestha handed over a Tata Tigor car worth Rs 2.5 million to Lamichhane, who will promote the brand for three years.

Shrestha said the agreement justified as both Tata Tigor and Lamichhane were stylish. Lamichhane said he was happy to have associated with a popular brand which had been involved in cricket for a long time. Sipradi Trading had earlier supported cricketers Aarif Sheikh and Sunil Dhamala.

Meanwhile, Yeti Carpets felicitated Lamichhane with Rs 100,000 for his outstanding performance in the Indian Premier League. Lamichhane, who was bought by Delhi Daredevils for Rs 3.2 million, featured in the last three matches of the world’s most lucrative Twenty20 competition.

Lamichhane, who got the chance to play only after Delhi had been out of the playoff race, claimed five wickets and  won a Stylish Player award.
