Yadav, Shah enter quarters

Nepal’s  Sneha Yadav, Isha Shree Shah and Rayana Shah advanced to the girls’  singles pre-quarters in the Kesha ANLTA Asian U-14 Tennis  Championship Circuit-II here at the Satdobato Tennis Complex courts today.

In all-Nepal second round matches, Yadav saw off Aisha Dolker  Gurung 6-0, 6-4, while Isha Shree outplayed Nimisha Dhakal 6-3, 6-1. Rayana won the match after her opponent Lumu Tso Lama retired while trailing 2-0 in the first set.

Similarly, four Indian players also advanced to the round of 16 with wins over Nepali opponents. Prachi  Mantri beat Prakriti Shrestha 6-0, 6-4, Ilina Jha earned a double bagel  against Azaa Regmi, Vaishnavi Adkar surpassed Sharvani Shrestha 6-0,  6-1 and Harshali Mandavkar beat Saloni Tamang 6-0, 7-6 (4).

Meanwhile, Shubhangee Lamxi Shah defeated Rosani Limbu 6-4, 6-1 and advanced to the second round. In boys’ first round match, Samprit Sharma of India thrashed Pranav Manandhar of Nepal 6-2, 6-0.
