BIRATNAGAR: Megha Shrestha of Central, Shriya Yonjan of Eastern and Priti Baral of Mid-western Region advanced to the 10th National Soft Tennis Tournament here on Thursday.

Shrestha defeated Bhawana Paneru of Far-western Region 4-0 in Baijanathpur. Also, Yonjan beat Binita GC of Mid-western and Baral hammered Ayushma Ranjit of Central by identical scores of 4-0.

In the first round matches, Chandra Maya Rai of Central Region defeated Ashmi Dhami of Far-western 4-0, Mid-western’s Ritika Chaudhary beat Abhilasha Lamichhane of Eastern 4-2, Central’s Sunira Thapa outplayed Mid-western’s Sumita Khanal 4-1, and Eastern’s Jarjia Chaudhary beat Far-western’s Pooja Shrestha 4-0.
