Sumit  Rana of Krishna Gym, Butwal won the title of the first Buddha Classic Lumbini Bodybuilding and Men’s Physique Tournament today.

Winner  of the 65kg weight category, Rana was declared the champion ahead of four others who had made it to the final round after winning their respective weight category titles. Krishna Rana (55kg) of  Nirbodh Aerobic, Nabin BK (60kg) of Butwal Fitness, Subhash Man Shrestha (70kg) of Butwal Fitness and Bishnu Kumar Nishadh (above-70kg) of Butwal Fitness were the other builders in contention for the overall title.

Rana received Rs  35,000 for overall title and Rs 5,000 for finishing first in his weight  category. Nabin BK was named the best poser and he earned Rs 10,000.

In  men’s physique event, Rajan Shrestha of Butwal Fitness, Subin BK of SS  Fitness and Amit Pangeni of Bhalwari Gym bagged top three positions respectvely.

Meanwhile, A&A Health Club’s Bishnu Maya Pun won the women’s squat competition by lifting 101kg and she received Rs 5,000. Sunita  Thapa of Power and Muscle Gym lifted 91kg and Ranjita Sherchan of  Nirbodh lifted 86kg to finish second and third respectively. Rupandehi District Bodybuilding and Fitness Association had organised the event.
