KATHMANDU: Times International College and Saipal Academy won the titles of the first Angels’ Heart Cup U-18 Basketball Tournament here on Friday.

Times defeated hosts Angels’ Heart 55-45 in the boys’ section final. Akash Nakarmi of Times top scored in the match with 22 points.

In the girls’ final, Saipal beat Angels’ Heart 52-29 riding on Roshani Shrestha 31 points. Nakarmi and Shrestha were later named the Most Valuable Players of the tournament. Nikesh Magar of Angels’ Heart and Pratikshya Magar of Saipal were the highest scorers with 122 and 62 points respectively.

A total of 19 teams, including five in girls’ section, took part in the tournament.
