Triathlon in Pokhara

KATHMANDU: Nepal Triathlon Association is organising the fifth South Asian Triathlon Championship in Pokhara on Saturday.

A total of 60 athletes will take part in the championship, informed the organisers in a release on Friday. Athletes from Nepal, India and Bangladesh will compete in the fifth edition of the championship. Afghanistan had also confirmed their participations but they were forced to withdraw because of visa issues, informed NTA General Secretary Nilendra Raj Shrestha.

According to him, the field includes the 12th South Asian Games gold medallists Dilip Kumar and Palalvi Ratiwal from India, while SA Games silver winner Roja KC will lead the Nepali side that also has the team event silver medal winning players.
