Women’s Khaptad Gold Cup announced

Farwest Sports Club of Dhangadhi is all set to organise the Farwest Women’s Khaptad Gold Cup Football Tournament.

The  Club announced the women’s football event just a week after  concluding the highest cash-prize men’s football tournament of  mofussil. The men’s category winners Tribhuvan Army Club and runners-up  Nepal APF Club earned Rs 1.11 million and Rs 555,555  respectively.

Club Vice-president Babu Raja Shrestha informed that a  total of eight teams, including two foreign clubs, will compete in the  event but he added that the schedules would be announced after taking consent from the All Nepal Football Association. “We are yet talk to ANFA about the event and we will announce the dates as soon as possible,” said Shrestha. Top two teams will take home Rs 500,000 and Rs 250,000 respectively.

Meanwhile,  the club announced the loss of Rs 165.516 in the men’s tournament. “The total budget of the tournament was Rs 9.14  million and we collected Rs 8.98 million from sponsors and gate  collection,” said General Secretary Prakash Shahi.
