Syria monitor says 16 killed in air strikes on rebel-held Idlib

BEIRUT: The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said air strikes killed at least 16 people in the Haas village in Syria's rebel-held Idlib province on Wednesday, six of them children.

A report on Syrian state TV quoted a military source as saying a number of militants had been killed when their positions were targeted in Haas.

The Observatory, a British-based war monitor, said warplanes struck several locations in the village, including an area near a school, in the northwestern province.
