Rise in COVID-19 cases continues with 841 entries logged on Sunday

Nepal recorded 841 new coronavirus infections in last 24 hours, pushing the nationwide tally to 832,589 while the death toll reached to 11,604 as two fatalities were recorded on Sunday.
Meanwhile, the total coronavirus recoveries stand at 814, 230 with 224 discharges logged today.
As per the latest data provided by the health ministry, a total of 12,632 tests were conducted in the last 24 hours of which 8,848 were PCR tests while 3,784 were antigen tests. With this, a total of 4,928,624 PCR tests have been carried out till date.Similarly, antigen tests have confirmed 326 positive cases in the past 24 hours. The total number of single-day infections from both the RT-PCR and antigen tests totals to 1,167.
Nepal's Covid-19 recovery rate stands at 97.8%, while the fatality rate stands at 1.4%.
The country's active Covid-19 case count currently is 6,755.
Currently, there are 113 individuals in various quarantine facilities across Nepal.
On Satirday, Nepal had witnessed 696 cases of the respiratory infection.
