Dr Shrestha elected Gen Secy of newly established SAARC Regional Veterinary Association

Dr Sital Kaji Shrestha has been elected as the General Secretary of the newly established SAARC Regional Veterinary Association (SRVA) amid a program in Pokhara on Saturday.

Dr Sital Kaji Shrestha has been elected as the General Secretary of the newly established SAARC Regional Veterinary Association (SRVA) amid a program in Pokhara on Saturday.

Dr Shrestha is the current president of Nepal Veterinary Association.

Indian Veterinary Association Chairman Dr Chirantan Kadian has been elected as the president of SRVA.

The committee was formed during a regional sideline meeting during 14Th National conference of Nepal Veterinary Association on 17-18 June in Pokhara. More than 500 veterinarians from the country and delegates from SAARC Countries were present for remarks, scientific deliberation and presentation.

As many as 70 scientific papers were presented and discussed in the conference.

Minister for Land Management, Agriculture, Co-operative and Poverty Alleviation, Gandaki Province, Chandra Bahadur Budha, attended the conference as a chief guest while Director of SAARC Jamal Uddin Ahmed was the special guest.
