Border security officials' meeting held

Nepal-India Border Security Officials' meeting was held keeping in view November 20 elections, at Malangawa, in Sarlahi today.
The special coordination meeting was conducted with security officials from Sitamadi, Bihar, to prevent untoward incidents during the House of Representatives and Provincial Assembly elections. The district-based Border Coordination Meeting was held aiming to take action against those who try to disrupt the elections from the bordering districts of Mahottari, Sarlahi and Rautahat. The officials had held discussions on six main points.
Rautahat CDO Krishna Prasad Shahi informed that security officials from both the countries had committed to tighten security measures at the border, monitor security arrangements, inspect the international border pillars and control human trafficking and smuggling of illegal drugs during elections.
Sarlahi Chief District Officer Thaneshwor Gautam, SP Prabin Pokhrel, APF SP Bharat Khaniya, National Investigation Chief Chandan Jha, Mahottari Chief District Officer Dipak Kumar Pahadi, SP Krishna Pangani, APF SP Dipendra Giri, National Investigation Chief Avinaya Singh and Rautahat Chief District Officer Krishna Prasad Shahi, SP Bir Bahadur Buda Magar and Manis Kumar, SP of Sitamadi, among other officials, were present at the meeting.
