KATHMANDU: Rajesh Babu Shrestha, the honorary consul of the Federal Republic of Austria for Nepal, has been felicitated by the president of Austria.

Shrestha received the prestigious 'Decoration of Honour in Silver' for his services. This is an honour given by the Austrian state, as per a press release.

In an event organised here in the presence of the Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister of Nepal Narayan Kaji Shrestha, Ambassador of the Republic of Austria to Nepal, Katharina Wieser handed over the medal to Shrestha.

Earlier in 2013, the then honorary consul of Austria for Nepal, Laxman Babu Shrestha, was decorated with the 'Decoration of Honour in Gold' by the Austrian government.
