KATHMANDU: On the occasion of Shree Panchami, the Singh Bahadur Karmacharya Academy performed free Bratabandha of 170 local boys on the premises of Ugra Chandi Bhagawati Temple at Nala in Kavre district. According to the SBKA, 260 senior citizens aged above 65 were felicitated wrapping with shawl and appreciation letter. Moreover, the academy served free food for about 3,000 persons, including the family members of 170 boys. AIG Arjun Jung Shahi, actor Shree Krishna Shrestha and actress Swayata Khadka distributed the shawls and the appreciation letters. They also released ‘Singh Pratisthanko Kadam’ and ‘Sai Nala Jyoti’, a souvenir on the occasion. The SBKA, established two years ago, contributed to 240 senior citizens to visit different pilgrimages and Sai Baba in Bangalore in India. Similarly, the academy sponsored two best students of Chandeshwor Secondary School, Nala in SLC exams to visit Thailand and Pokhara respectively. Patron of academy Singh Bahadur Karmacharya said that he would serve the society by saving certain amount of his income. He donated Rs 333,000 for the construction of Satya Sai Rest House at Nala.
