Two thieves nabbed KATHMANDU: Police on Sunday arrested two thieves, who had stolen Rs 500,000 from a locker in cash counter of Himal Hospital, Naxal. Those arrested have been identified as Khum Bahadur Budhathoki (39), hailing from Goganpani- 3 of Dhading and Nahakul Dhital (28) from Kanpur- 9 of Kavre. It is learnt that Budhathoki was a driver of the hospital while Dhital was manager at Ramailo Dohori Sanjh in Bagbazaar. Of the stolen amount, the police have recovered Rs 457,170 from them. The money was found to be hidden under a bed sheet in Budhathoki’s room. They had barged into the counter by smashing the door on the fourth floor and made away with the cash on Thursday night. Baba on Kailash yatra Kathmandu: Shree 1008 Shri Kalidas Baba (Shree Krishnananda Paramhansa) on Sunday led a Kalash Yatra in Kathmandu on the eve of ‘Shree Saharsha Rudrachandi Akhanda Mahayagya’ scheduled to take place from March 1 to 9 at Bankali in Pashupatinath Temple area. The Mahayagya will witness non-stop havan (fire ceremony) for nine days and nights. The havan will also be led by Kalidas Baba in one sitting without any break in between the Mahayagya. Kalash Yatra that originated from Bankali went round the city before converging into a religious meet at the same place. Thousands of devotees and ascetics participated in the yatra seeking blessings from Kalidas Baba. The participants chanted pro-Hindu slogans. Baba said non-stop havan was needed to restore Hinduism in the country.
