Painting contest KATHMANDU: Pashupati Paints has introduced its ‘Best Painted Room contest’ — Kotha Ranganuhos Luxuria le, Maan Ranganuhos Upahar Le scheme for its top end brand of paints — Luxuria Premium Emulsion. Under this scheme, customers who buy the Luxuria range need to send photographs of those parts of their home that they have painted with Luxuria Paints along with proof of purchase. The top three entries to be selected by a panel of judges will be awarded cash prizes of Rs 200,000, Rs 100,000 and Rs 50,000, respectively. This campaign has been endorsed by former Miss Nepal Malavika Subba, and starting from March 20 it will last till April 14. Progress report KATHMANDU: New Nepal Micro Finance Development Bank (NNMFDB), Dhulikhel, in its first anniversary ceremony, presented its annual progress report. Within a year, the bank was able to provide micro credits of Rs 2.65 million to 1,250 women at 38 different VDCs for income generating purposes. Bank executive director Dr Purushottam Shrestha said the bank will provide services like skill development training and livestock insurance along with micro credit. The bank operates in Kavre, Ramechhap and Sindhuli districts with the aim of poverty alleviation. DIPROSC Nepal's executive director and MIFAN's chairperson Pitambar Prasad Acharya, DIPROX Development Bank's CEO Sharada Prasad Kattel, Araniko Development Bank executive director Narayan Kapoor Pathak attended the ceremony. Swarojgar Microfinance Development Bank managing director Uday Raj Khatiwada, Center For Microfinance executive director Tejhari Ghimire and PlaNet Finance's mission head Thomas Pedroletti and Capital Merchant Banking and Finance managing director Shivaram Joshi were also present.
