ARGHAKANCHI: Three girls drowned in a river in Argakhanchi district on Wednesday night. The deceased have been identified as Kabita Pandey, 14 and twelve-year-old Bishnu Khanal and Meena Khanal of Palhi VDC, police said. The trio had gone to bathe in the local Twandi River but they drowned in the course of swimming in the river, police said. Locals went to search for them when the trio did not return home till late in the night. Eventually their bodies were found floating in the river at 1 am, police said.
