ATHENS: Inspectors from the International Monetary Fund will meet Greece's finance minister to find ways to speed up fiscal reforms, as the debt-plagued country continues to grapple with volatile borrowing costs.
Wednesday's meeting with George Papaconstantinou, which will be closed to the news media, comes at the start of a two-week IMF inspection.
Papaconstantinou on Tuesday denied a report that Greece is seeking to revise a eurozone-IMF financial rescue plan, but borrowing costs jumped sharply higher.
Greek bond yields remained elevated Wednesday, at 3.85 percentage points above the benchmark of German 10-year bonds.
