Lalit Kala Campus to run classes at TU

Kirtipur: Lalit Kala Campus, whose building was completely destroyed by the April 25 earthquake, will run classes from the central office of Tribhuvan University for the time being. Campus chief Bipin Ghimire said preparations to start classes from TU central office were on. Chinese arrested KATHMANDU: Police on Monday arrested a Chinese citizen from Tribhuvan National Airport with undeclared foreign currency. The arrestee, identified as Yanhui Hong (passport no 48525115), was about to board a flight to Chengdu with 98,500 US dollars, 20,520 Chinese yuan and Rs 13,115. The arrestee earlier had arrived in Nepal on April 14 and returned the same day. This was her second visit. She had arrived on May 22. Police have handed her to the Department of Revenue Investigation for further investigation. One killed in accident LALITPUR: Nanimaya Khadki, 55, Purnachandi, Lalitpur, died after a mini bus (Ba 2 Kha 2034) hit her in the wee hours of Monday at Lagankhel. Seriously injured Khadki died while undergoing treatment at Patan Hospital. Three injured KATHMANDU: Suraj Shrestha, 26, and his wife Hema Shrestha, 28, were injured when parts of the roof fell on them while they were demolishing a house that was damaged due to the quakes in Baneshwor on Sunday. The injured were taken to Civil Hospital in Minbhawan. Seriously injured Hema was later transferred to TU Teaching Hospital, Maharajgunj. Similarly, Prakashman Ghalan of Nallu, Lalitpur, was injured when he lost his balance while demolishing a two-storey house on Saturday. He was taken to Anandaban Hospital, Chapagaun, from where was shifted to Patan Hospital on Sunday. Jewellery stolen KATHMANDU: A group of thieves stole gold and silver jewellery worth Rs 223,000 from an unattended house in Kamal Binayak of Bhaktapur on Sunday. The thieves broke into the rented room of Ranjit Khanga of Saptari, currently residing in Kamal Binayak, Bhaktapur-4, and decamped with the ornaments. Injured youth dies KATHMANDU: Bikash Adhikari, 21, of Tokha, who was injured in an accident on Sunday, died on Monday. His motorbike (Ba 43 Pa 8568) had met with an accident after it lost control at Bhutkhel, Tokha.
