KATHMANDU: The task force under the Constitution Drafting Committee (CDC) is all set to prepare an integrated draft of the constitution by Tuesday late night. The draft is to be outlined based on the 16-point pact signed among the four major political parties and past consensus forged with various sides. A meeting of the task force is continued since this morning and the top leaders of the parties will discuss and conclude the remaining disputed issues of the constitution. Task force member Ramesh Lekhak said that the legal and constitutional scripting of the agreed issues of the constitution will take some more time however the integrated draft will be given a final touch tonight. The Constitution Drafting Committee had expedited the task of framing constitution by forming a task force to settle disputes surfaced in course of preparing the draft. The report prepared by the task force will be presented to the meeting of the CDC and it will be given final touch after having cursory discussion on it, informed another member of task force Ram Narayan Bidari. The task force is having a meeting again today after the top leaders will finalise the disputed issues which remained unsettled in the task force. Though the deadline to frame a full draft of the constitution is coming Monday, it has witnessed delay due to failure to reach agreement in bulk on all the contentious issues, Bidari said, adding the taskforce, however, will conclude its work even by the late night today.
