KATHMANDU: The Constituent Assembly meeting scheduled for 2 pm has been deferred and rescheduled for 6:30 pm. The meeting has been rescheduled because the CA has not received the draft of new constitution from the Constitution Drafting Committee yet, according to the Assistant Spokesperson of Constituent Assembly, Sudarshan Kuinkel. The CDC chairma, Krishna Prasad Sitaula, is scheduled to present the first draft of new constitution before the full house of CA today. The draft could not be presented before the CA as per the original schedule yesterday as the UCPN-Maoist, one of the four signatories of the 16-point agreement, expressed objection to some provisions in the draft constitution. The major parties, however, patched up their differences after midnight and agreed to table the draft today. The leaders of the parties are trying to forge an understanding on the provisions and prepare a final draft to present before the CA since this morning. Meanwhile, the budget session of the Legislature-Parliament is beginning today.  READ ALSO: Parties agree to table final draft today
