Death toll in Dhading bus accident rises to 6

DHADING: The death toll in Dhading bus accident has jumped to six after three persons succumbed to injuries on Tuesday. Kanchhi Regmi (85), Ranjita Dhungana (19) and Anju Tamang (15) breathed their last during the course of treatment at the Arya Hospital in Chhauni, City Centre Hospital in Kalanki and Trauma Centre respectively today, police informed. Police said that as many as 33 persons were injured in the incident. They are receiving treatment at various hospitals in the Capital. According to the Area Police Office, Khanikhola, Thuli Tamang (55), Pratap Timilsina (21) and Pramila Dhungana (40) of Jeevanpur-5 had died on the spot yesterday. The ill-fated bus (Ba 2 Kha 2321), ferrying pilgrims returning home from Godawari of Lalitpur, had met with an accident at Jeevanpur of Dhading at around 7 pm yesterday, police said. A month-long festival is going on in Godawari for the past three weeks. Jeevanpur locals had reserved two buses to visit Godawari.
