KATHMANDU: Ncell has announced 150 teams for Ncell App Camp 2015, the country’s biggest mobile app development conclave. They were selected from a list of 728 ideas that teams had presented to take part in the competition. The ideas were selected based on pre-announced judgement criteria: importance of problem the idea aimed to solve, the idea’s business potential, its global scalability, and how the teams articulated and presented their ideas, according to Ncell. The deadline for submission of ideas was September 20. The list of names of the 150 teams selected for the next phase of competition is available online at www.ncellappcamp.com and Ncell App Camp app. This year, mobile app ideas are competing under four categories — Games and Entertainment, Health, Tourism and Utilities. Of the selected 150 ideas, 37 are under the Games and Entertainment, 38 are under Health, 38 under Tourism, and 37 are in Utilities categories, respectively. The selected teams will now participate in capacity-building seminars and training programmes conducted by national and international experts in November.
