Kathmandu:
Pushpa Poudel succeeding to grab her position among the top ten contestants in the last episode of Samsung Nepali Tara, it’s time now for the remaining eight to buckle their belts for the gruelling sessions ahead. While singing in three different genres, in one of the most watched shows on Nepal Television, Pushpa warbled Tara Devi’s “Ukali Oralee Haruma” with the same fervour and grace as Reema Gurung’s folk number “Lahure Dai” and Naleena Chitrakar’s “Gori Kali”. And it’s a good omen that the judges had a favourable comment to pass on for her wonderful performance! Inspite of being a student of classical music, however, Santosh Lama miserably failed to impress the judges and was ousted from the round. To share the disappointment with him were Sanjeev Parajuli and Lalkaji Shrestha. However, as a consolation to their tear-jerking disappointment they have with them a lifetime experience that’d definitely equip them for greater strides in the future. But Pushpa, who’s on cloud nine after having made it to the top ten, has different plans altogether. She has decided to make it to the Grand Finale. “Initially I was complacent being one among the top ten contestants. But now I want more,” says Pushpa excitedly.
