ISLAMABAD: At least four people were killed and 10 others injured on Sunday when a bomb blast hit a train in Pakistan’s southwestern province of Baluchistan, local media reported. According to reports, the incident took place when a bomb blast hit an apartment of a train in the Dasht area of Mastung district of Baluchistan, Pakistan’s restive province bordering Iran and Afghanistan. Security forces, police and rescue teams rushed to the site and shifted the bodies and injured to hospitals. The train Jaffar Express was heading toward the country’s garrison city of Rawalpindi from southwestern provincial capital of Quetta when it came under attack. The blast destroyed the third apartment of the train in which civilian passengers were present. The blast also destroyed part of the track leading to the suspension of railway traffic. vPolice said an improvised explosive device was planted at the rail track and it was detonated with the remote control. No group has claimed responsibility for the attack yet.
