GAIGHAT: Salons, which remained closed since Saturday, after DSP Deepak Basnet of Area Police Office, Katari mistreated a hairdresser, opened their shops after Basnet sought an apology for his actions on Sunday. According to sources, Ram Narayan Thakur of Shiva Shankar Salon was mistreated for not arriving on time to trim hair of cops at police post. Following the incident, all salons operating in Katari were shut at the call of Nepal Association of Hairdressers. “We called off protest after DSP Basnet sought an apology for his actions,” said Udaypur Chairman of the association Hira Lal Thakur.
