Current crisis ends within few days, claims new Info Minister

KATHMANDU: Newly appointed Minister for Information and Communication Technology Sher Dhan Rai said the government would solve the current crisis caused due to shortage daily essentials including petroleum products within few days. Speaking at an interaction at the Reporters' Club in the Capital today, the Minister said the government could not pay attention to the crisis earlier as it had not got a full shape. 'The government got the full shape on Thursday,' Rai said, 'Now, it will not be a mute spectator. It will take a solid initiative to ease the supplies.' The government would move ahead with a mission to address disagreements raised by Madhes-based parties and ease supplies, he added. Meanwhile, Rai revealed that Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli would address the nation soon about the current crisis and government efforts to solve it. The Minister was hopeful that all political parties including Nepali Congress would come into the single coalition again after self-evaluation. The Information and Communication Technology Minister shared that his priority would be to use newly developed technologies in the nation.
