JHAPA: Two persons were killed in a road accident at Sheetal Chowk of Kankai Municipality-8 in Jhapa district this afternoon. The deceased have been identified as Laxmi Thapa (40) and Keshav Bohora (28) of Kankai Municipality-9, said Deputy Superintendent of Police at the Area Police Office, Birtamod, Khadga Bahadur Khatri. The accident took place when a truck (Na 4 Kha 1021) heading towards east from west hit the motorcycle (Ba 58 Pa 8156) coming from the opposite direction in course of overtaking a bus (Me 1 Kha 1832) coming from same direction, said police. According to the Area Police Office, Birtamod, the motorcycle, hit by the truck, was again collided with the bus. Critically injured Thapa and Bohora died on their way to Birtamod-based Birta City Hospital, said Spokesperson at the District Police Office, Bhim Bahadur Dahal.
