PARASI: Cadres of the agitating United Democratic Madhesi Front (UDMF) vandalised two tractors in Parasi, the district headquarters of Nawalparasi, on Wednesday. Two tractors (Lu 2 Ta 8562 and Lu 2 Ta 9365) laden with bricks were vandalised on the charge of defying the bandh announced by the UDMF. As the UDMF intensified its agitation and imposed the strike today, the normal life was hit hard. As public vehicles did not ply the road in the district headquarters, transportation to the rural areas of Maheshpur, Belatari and Triveni came to a virtual standstill.
