15 people held for black marketing of petroleum products

DHADING: Police have impounded seven oil-laden trucks and 15 people for black marketing of petroleum products in Junge Khola of Dhading district along the Prithvi Highway on Tuesday. According to District Police Office, Dhading, police arrested 15 people from the premises of Unique Mojmasti Staff Hotel at Aadha Kilo Phedi of Thakre VDC after finding them selling the fuel illegally by stopping on the middle of the way. The seven trucks  - Na 4 Kha 3112, Na 4 Kha 8673, Na 4 Kha 4194, Na 4 Kha 6132, Na 4 Kha 407, Na 4 Kha 406 and Na 4 Kha 5081 - carrying 140,000 litres of diesel each were heading towards Thankot Depot of Nepal Oil Corporation from Jogabani border point. SP Sabin Pradhan informed that they were selling the petrol for Rs 150 per litre by breaking seals of the tankers. Police are interrogating them under the Black marketing Act.
