KATHMANDU: Police recently arrested a man for his alleged involvement in selling products at a higher price than the marked price. The suspect has been identified as Baleshowr Mehata (33) of Bhokraha VDC-4, Sunsari district and currently residing at Tilganga, KMC-8. Based on information that Mehata has been selling petroleum products at a higher price than the marked price, a police team deployed from the Metropolitan Police Crime Division (MPDC) nabbed him from Tilganga. Police said that he was found out to be selling a full cooking gas cylinder at Rs 8,000. Police informed that they have confiscated 15 cooking gas cylinders of different brands and 460 litres of diesel from his possession. Police are interrogating him under the Black marketing Act 1995.
