Khukuri attack suspects nabbed from Basundhara

KATHMANDU: Police said they recently arrested three persons for their alleged involvement in a khukuri attack in Kathmandu around six months ago. According to the Metropolitan Police Crime Division, Bikas Thapa Magar (27), Rupesh Maharjan (18) and Bikram Maharjan (26), residents of Basundhara of Kathmandu, were nabbed on Thursday. A gang of seven persons including the arrestees had attacked Sagar Rana Magar of Basundhara, Tokha-7, with a khukuri in front of the Buddha Temple in Basundhara, Tokha-8, on August 24 last year, police claimed. An FIR had been filed against them at the Metropolitan Police Circle, Maharajgunj. Meanwhile, the MPCD handed the trio over to the Metropolitan Police Circle, Maharajgunj, to investigate in connection to the attempted murder case.
